About Ancaire

A Lifetime of Service

“My lifelong passion has been helping those in need. My grandmother showed everyone kindness and respect. This is how we treat every Ancaire client.” – Amy McFarren

A Lifetime of Service

Amy McFarren created Ancaire to give elder and disabled patients the quality home care they deserve. Ancaire is gaelic for “anchor” and this is exactly what we are – a stabilizing presence that offers strength and support. Amy has spent her entire life helping others. For over 17 years, she has used her experience as a registered nurse and Medicare case manager to assist families in their time of need.

Amy’s grandmother Gladys taught her the importance of treating others with compassion and respect. Amy applies the same principal to every Ancaire client and their family. We know how overwhelming it can be when a loved one requires long term care. You may not know where to turn for help. This is why you need a professional caregiver who has experience, credentials, and compassion.

Our professional caregivers and home aides go above and beyond to provide the best home care possible. We take the time to get to know each client, so we can better serve their unique needs. Ancaire creates a care plan specifically tailored to the patient, and works with family members and physicians for efficient care coordination. Amy also gives her cellphone number to every client, so the lines of communication are always open.

Ancaire Home Care Offers:

  • Personalized and compassionate service — focusing on the individual’s wants and needs.
  • Accessibility — care is typically available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Continuity of care management — communications are coordinated between family members, doctors, medical professionals, and service providers.
  • Cost containment — inappropriate placements, duplication of services, and unnecessary hospitalizations are avoided.
  • Quality control — care management services follow the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.

Do I Need an Elder Care Expert?

One way to help you decide is to evaluate whether you have the time, inclination or skills to manage the challenges of geriatric care by yourself.

If you are not sure, ask a trusted adviser to help you decide if an elder care expert may be helpful. Enlisting the support of other family members to consult a professional is a good way to build a consensus on the solutions.
